3ix.org is a hosting provider that is geared towards the budgeting tupe of webmasters. With plans starting from as little as $1/month and all the usual features you expect with a webhost it would seem to be excellent solution for many budget concious webmasters. In addition the 24 hour livechat service is another unique attribute for this web host.

But that is just first impressions I am referring too. Taking a look at the unfiltered feedback I could find online, it seems to conclude with the old cliche “you get what you pay for”. Leaving out the one-off cases (personal predjudice) many common issues occured with perhaps the most important being continued downtime of sites. Others report slow tech support, difficult to understand tech support and general account issues. “I’m having problems with both the ftp server and my site being up and down like a pair of prostitues knickers” was how one disatisfied customer put it.

To be fair there have been a quiet minority who have been pleased with the service. “It is an excellent service. I have had good responses within 24 hours for email queries and very little need if any to ask the same question twice. The website/server uptime has been good and I believe that it is good company to deal with” and many consider the price to be far more beneficial than the issues they have faced.
